On July 13th, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province announced the preliminary list of leading manufacturing enterprises and the preliminary list of key cultivated leading manufacturing enterprises for 2022. Henan Huanghe Whirlwind Co., Ltd. (600172) was selected as a leading manufacturing enterprise for 2021 in Henan Province.

Its "Whirlwind" brand of superhard material products is a high-quality product in Henan Province, and its "Whirlwind" trademark is a well-known trademark in Henan Province and a famous brand in China. The company has a national-level enterprise technology center, post-doctoral research station, superhard material standardization working group, and the Henan Province Superhard Composite Materials and Their Products Engineering Technology Research Center. It possesses multiple core key technologies and independent intellectual property rights, independently develops industry-leading pressing equipment and highly-perfected product systems, and its annual production of superhard materials and related products ranks among the top in the industry.
Huanghe Whirlwind utilizes its own scientific research platform and undertakes two projects related to "Regional Characteristic High-Tech Industrial Chains for National Superhard Materials and Products," nine projects under the "Torch Program" and two projects under the "National Science and Technology for Trade Development." It has won 16 science and technology progress awards at or above the provincial and ministerial levels, 26 science and technology achievements in Henan Province, and has been granted 300 patents, including 16 invention patents. Its "Method for Producing Diamond Surface Projections" won the first prize in Henan Province's patent awards, and it has obtained five software copyrights. It has participated in the formulation of national standards such as "Varieties of Superhard Abrasives Synthetic Diamonds" (GB/T23536-2009) and 10 industry standards such as "Iron-Copper Pre-Alloyed Powders for Water Mist Spraying in Diamond Tools" (JB/T 13308-2017), and has strong scientific research strength in the diamond industry.
